Celestial Creatures of the Astral Realm, also known as the Ashen Reapers, this angels do not serve the Silver City or any other realms. They are the guardians of the Cycle of Life and the hunters of those who escape their own Death or are spoiled by undeath source. Between the Astral Realm , the Gates of Death guides the spirits of dead mortal beings to the Astral reservoir to contribute the Cycle of Life. 

There are rare cases that some soul escape or defy the Cycle of Life, this souls will be branded with the Mark of Death, an anchoring scar onto their soul, not just as a reminder but also a way for the Angels of Death to track them. The more the same soul evades death, the deeper and more powerful the mark becomes, making it easier for the Angels to locate them and become more vulnerable to the Ashen Reapers.

Nkrabea (Nik-ra-bae-ya): The Matriarch of the Death, Mother Who Hungers & Maw of the End. She monitors the Astral Reservoir within the the Astral Realm, where all the essences of the spirit and soul contributes to the Cycle of life. From here new creations would then take the essences from the reservoir and be used as needed for new creation, the start of the Cycle. Her Hatred grows to those who practise undeath magic or whoever disrupt the Cycle of Life.
 
While the Matriarch of Death works directly with the Cycle of Life, she enlist her Angels of Death or the Ashen Reapers to protect his work and locate the many spirits that has evaded death itself. Azrael (Ah-ze-real): High Patriarch of the Ashen Reapers, hunts down the most powerful spirit that escaped, endlessly retrieving all the souls that was lost. 

Meanwhile Hudiah (Hue-dye-ah): Executive of Death. Astral Defender, stays back to command the defenses of the Astral Realm. He ensures no possible threat can exist while they work. Rahab (Ray-hab): Spirit Guide of the Dead, walks with new souls into the Astral Reservoir. Without him, the spirits will get lost easily to undeath rituals or be destroyed by Necrolyte Sources.

Mark of Death

Mark of Death

Should any mortal escape the grips of death. Their soul will forever be Scarred with the Mark of Death. A tattoo inked into their soul, not just as a reminder but also a way for the Angels of Death to track them.

 

The more the same soul escapes, the deeper and more powerful the mark becomes, allowing Angel of Death to track them easier and to take down the escapist a lot faster. At some point it can even attract the Arch Seraph Azrael to personally hunt them endlessly.

There has been no known possible way to remove the mark so far however there are a rare few to have known to remove them. But there is always a price for escaping Death.

To protect the living and preserve the dead, to protect the dead and preserve the living.

 

With the cycle at the risk of the other Deities and their wars, the Matriarch of Death inspired an order among the mortals of Verlantis to help protect the sanctification of the cycle, away from the influences of the other Outworldly beings. It was only after the destruction of the Abyssal Realm and the birth of Necrolyte that the Matriarch of Death decided to bless the Custodian with her powers to extend their reach.

As the conflict between the Undying Elder and the Custodians worsen, Lucidia a Fallen Angel of Death: Mistress of Deathward sought to escape the Eternal Conflict and save the innocent, invoked a powerful ritual that would protect the living and the dead from Necrolyte. Converting Lunare Continent in a haven and a stronghold for the Custodian.
